JUST IN: Troops arrest female ammunition courier for Bello Turji

Troops arrested the female courier of Turji on December 28, 2024 alongside her accomplice, a motorcycle rider, Ahmed Husaini.

They were arrested in Badarawa area of Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The arrest followed an intelligence report regarding the movement of the logistics of the terrorists along the road from Kware to Badarawa in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

In response to the development, troops of Operation Fansan Yamma promptly established a roadblock, leading to the apprehension of the suspects.

Both suspects are currently undergoing investigation by appropriate authorities.

A statement on Saturday by the Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordinating Centre of Operation Fansan Yamma, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, said: “Operation Fansan Yamma remains dedicated to dismantling all terrorist networks as well as  prevent illegal movement  of arms and ammunition within its Theatre of Operation.

“Members of the public are therefore urged not to relent in their efforts at providing credible information that would lead to the arrest of wanted terrorists and their collaborators.

“Additionally, the Theatre wishes to appreciate the sustained local support it is enjoying from the people of the Zone towards the fulfilment of Operation Fansan Yamma mandate.”
