he operation, which occurred on November 1, 2024, was based on intelligence regarding the criminal activities of a syndicate that had been targeting exotic cars across the Southeast region of Nigeria.
During the arrest, Dixon, a male suspect, was found in possession of a significant arsenal, including one AK-47 rifle, an English pistol, a locally-made pistol, and various calibers of ammunition. Additionally, six stolen vehicles were recovered.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
Following his arrest, Dixn confessed to being a key member of a syndicate specializing in car theft. According to the suspect, the group’s operations involved carjackings at gunpoint, a modus operandi that had claimed numerous victims across the region.
Dixon also provided a chilling account of one of the gang’s deadliest operations. He recalled how the group set an ambush in October 2024, which led to the death of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Assan JGA, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Agbor Division in Delta State.
Dixon stated, “The same group, around October 2024, had set an ambush after a void operation that led to the death of CSP Assan JGA, the DPO Agbor Division, in Delta State during a fierce gun battle between a team of police officers led by the deceased DPO and the gang.”
