Around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, the suspect’s home near the Atinsola Petrol Station in Sanni, Abeokuta, was discovered. SP Omolola Odutola, the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), disclosed that Yemitan used ominous disguises to entice the victim, Darasimi, to his house.With the assistance of two accomplices, Kehinde Yemitan and an unidentified Kazeem, he admitted to killing her. According to Odutola, their heinous scheme was to sell the victim’s head and other body parts. Vigilantes and Agbekoya, among other local security organisations, provided the tip that led to the arrest.
While attempts are being made to find Darasimi’s family and capture the accomplices, the victim’s remains have been placed at the mortuary of Ijaye General Hospital for an autopsy. For a comprehensive investigation, Yemitan will be moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
