Adamawa Police Command recovers rustled cattle

The Adamawa State Police command has recovered some rustled cattle.

The command is keeping custody of the cattle which it said it came upon while on routine surveillance patrol to prevent and detect crime.

“The Command has taken into custody the recovered cattle for proper handling pending investigation,” the police said in a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, urges members of the public, especially those whose cattle were either missing or stolen to report to Police Divisional headquarters, Numan, with proofs of ownership and claim it,” Nguroje stated.

Nguroje’s statement which he mailed to newsmen in the early hours of Friday, did not specify the number of the cattle in view.
