According to a recent interview with Channels News, Quadri Alabi, a young man recently caught in the middle of a wrongful arrest and community threats, has spoken out about the dangers he faced after receiving financial assistance from Peter Obi.

According to Quadri, some individuals in his neighborhood demanded that he share the money he was gifted, threatening to kidnap him if he refused. “They said my mother would not see me again without that money,” he recounted. Fearing for his safety, he and his mother were relocated.

Now determined to start afresh, Quadri expressed gratitude to supporters and declared his desire to go back to school. “I want to learn something good that will change my life,” he said, emphasizing that he no longer wants to remain in the same environment due to the threats and stigma he faced. The case, already attracting public interest, continues to raise questions about injustice and community violence.
