Speaking during the Christmas service, the apostle dispelled misconceptions surrounding the holiday.
“There’s no place in the Bible that says if you don’t kill an animal today, you have offended God,” he stated. “There’s no prescription for cow, goat, or chicken. Just eat whatever you have and be happy. What matters is the happiness and joy, because Christmas is a time of joy.”
Quoting Matthew 1:18, Apostle Suleman reflected on the divine nature of Christ’s birth. “The birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: Mary, His mother, was found with child of the Holy Ghost before coming together with her husband. This is why we celebrate Christmas—His conception was divine,” he explained.
He contrasted the birth of Jesus with the founders of other religions, pointing out that their births were biological. “Jesus was not born of a man. He was born of the Holy Ghost. That’s why His birth is worth celebrating,” he said.
Addressing common Christmas traditions, Apostle Suleman reminded believers that new clothes or elaborate feasts are not essential. Instead, he urged them to embrace joy and thanksgiving as the hallmarks of the season.
