ASUU ta yi gargadi kan karin VAT

Shugaban kungiyar malaman jami’o’i, (ASUU), Farfesa Emmanuel Osodeke, ya yi gargaɗi kan ƙarin harajin kayayyaki na VAT da aka gabatar a cikin kudirin dokar gyaran haraji ta gwamnati.

Dole ya bayyana haka ne a wata hira da aka yi da shi a tashar talabijin ta Channels TV, inda ya soki gwamnatin tarayya da ‘yan majalisa bisa goyon bayan kudirin ba tare da tuntuɓar masu ruwa da tsaki ba.

Ya ce akwai abubuwa da dama da aka haɗa a cikin kudirin da bai kamata a sanya su ba.

Mista Osodeke ya yi bayanin cewa ƙarin VAT zai ƙara wa ‘yan Najeriya wahala, musamman ma waɗanda har yanzu ke fama da tasirin cire tallafin man fetur da kuma karyewar darajar Naira.

Osodeke yace “Ina ganin abinda ya kamata mu kalla a cikin wannan kudirin shi ne yadda zai shafi talakan Najeriya. Na ji mutane daga sassa daban-daban suna cewa muna goyon baya, ba mu yarda ba,

Yace “VAT haraji ne akan masu amfani da kayayyaki, wato ‘yan Najeriya. Don haka, idan aka ƙara VAT a yau, ba masu ƙirƙirar kayayyaki zai shafa ba; zai shafi masu amfani da kayayyakin ne saboda abinda masu ƙirƙirar kayayyakin za su yi shi ne su ƙara farashi a kan kayan da ake sayarwa,” .

Shugaban ASUU ya kuma gargaɗi gwamnatin tarayya da kada ta soke Asusun Tallafin Ilimin Manyan Makarantu (TETFund) don maye gurbinsa da sabon Asusun Lamunin Ilimi na Najeriya (NELFUND), yana mai cewa wannan matakin na iya lalata tsarin jami’o’in gwamnati a ƙasar.

TETFund ya taka rawa wajen inganta manyan makarantu a Najeriya sama da shekaru 30.

Shugaban ƙungiyar malaman ya ba da shawarar cewa gwamnati ta binciki hanyoyin samun kuɗi na daban don NELFUND, kamar ware wani kaso daga Harajin Kayayyaki da Ayyuka (VAT), maimakon amfani da kuɗaɗen TETFund daga harajin kamfanoni.
