Bauchi State Civil Service Commission,BSCSC, has suspended six officers for alleged serious misconduct.

The six suspended officers, all from the Ministry of Works and Transport and attached to the Bauchi State Infrastructures Development and Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA), were accused of selling or converting government properties worth millions of naira.

The properties were removed from ongoing flyover construction projects at Wunti and Central Market within Bauchi metropolis.

Their suspension was disclosed in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday by the Commission’s Public Relations Officer, Saleh Umar.

According to the statement, the alleged acts contravened Section 0327 of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations, leading to the suspension of the officials under Section 0331 of the same regulations.

The suspended officers are: Mohammed Musa Saye – Chief Store Officer, Ado Abba Pali – Senior Technical Officer, Danladi Noma – Senior Fireman, Garba Nuhu – Senior Works Superintendent, Ibrahim Inuwa – Technical Assistant (Electrical) and Uzairu Mudi – Technical Assistant (Electrical)

The Commission stated that the suspension will allow for a thorough investigation by relevant authorities into the reported misconduct.

In another development, the Commission promoted 79 officers during its 41st plenary session held on November 14, 2024.

It also announced a recess from November 25 to 28, 2024, to enable members to attend the 43rd Annual Council of Federal and State Civil Service Commissions meeting in Katsina State.
