Bomb explosion kills two in Borno

Improvised Explosive Device, IED, explosion has killed two persons in a 200 housing estate under construction in Dalwa, Borno State.

According to Channels Television, the incident occurred around 1pm on Wednesday about the time the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum and his Yobe counterpart, Mai Mala Buni, were commissioning housing estates in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.

A source told Channels Television that a similar incident occurred on Tuesday but with no details.

DAILY POST reports that Dalwa is 175 kilometres from Maiduguri and is one of the many communities destroyed and displaced by the Boko Haram terrorists.

Zulum embarked on the reconstruction of the Dalwa community with 200 houses.
