Gabriel Olanrewaju reportedly passed away after collapsing during a fight. An X user said that the deceased’s relatives had been crying ever since the tragedy, to which the chairman of NIDCOM responded. He composed;
“Do you recall the boxer from Nigeria who passed away in Ghana? After two or three months, the body has still not been returned to Nigeria. The family has been in tears. Abike Dabiri responded by explaining that the Nigerian Embassy in Ghana is looking into the situation and that his body will be returned to his family in Nigeria shortly. Abike Dabiri claims on her official X account that “His body will soon be returned home, and all related matters will be settled.
