The first passage Pastor Chris encouraged his congregation to study was John 15, specifically the first seven verses. In this chapter, Jesus speaks about the relationship between Himself, His followers, and the Father. He describes Himself as the true vine, emphasizing the importance of remaining in Him to bear good fruit. Pastor Chris highlighted the importance of abiding in Christ and allowing His Word to abide in them, a principle he believes is crucial for every believer’s spiritual success.
Next, Pastor Chris directed his congregation to the First Epistle of John, instructing them to read the entirety of the first chapter. The Apostle John writes about the light of God, the fellowship believers have with one another, and the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus. Pastor Chris emphasized the message of walking in the light as a way of maintaining a strong and pure relationship with God.
He encouraged the congregation to delve into the Book of Colossians, particularly Colossians 3:1-25. In this passage, Paul teaches believers about setting their minds on things above, living in accordance with their new identity in Christ, and putting off old sinful behaviors. Pastor Chris stressed the significance of living a life that reflects the virtues of Christ, highlighting how a believer’s actions should mirror their heavenly calling.
According to him, “I’m going to give you a few portions of the Bible that will help you immediately. Number one write down John gospel chapter 15. I want you to read the first seven verses and learn. The number 2, open first episode of saint John. Read the whole first chapter. Lastly, open Colossians 3. Read from verse 1 to the end. Study these bible verses.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
