Early morning fire outbreak kills teenager in Kwara

A fire outbreak on Monday killed an 18-year-old boy at Sayi area of Alore in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 1:30am in the early hours of Monday.

A government official confirmed the incident to Leadership.

As of press time, a delegation of the Kwara State Government was about to visit the scene of the fire outbreak for an assessment of the situation.

“Yes, a devastating fire outbreak occurred in the Sayi area of Alore early this morning.

“We learnt it claimed the life of an 18-year-old boy. We (a government delegation) will soon visit the scene of the incident to commiserate with our people,” the top government official said.
