Former Chelsea center-back, William Gallas has named the Blues’ best XI under manager Enzo Maresca.

Gallas included the likes of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in Chelsea’s best XI. He excluded Enzo Fernandez.

“The best Chelsea XI is: Robert Sanchez, Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill, Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, Madueke, Neto and Jackson,” Gallas told Genting Casino.

“Enzo Fernandez is on the bench. The problem with him is that you need to change your whole system to accommodate him.

“You can’t put Fernandez next to Caicedo because he won’t defend. Fernandez’s game is 65 percent attack and 35 percent defense, Neto, Palmer, Madueke and Jackson won’t defend so Caicedo would’ve to defend by himself.”

“That is why Lavia plays ahead of him,” the Frenchman added.

Chelsea is currently third position in the Premier League table, behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
