Former Chelsea defender, Jason Cundy, has identified Brentford star Bryan Mbuemo as the player Liverpool should sign as Mohamed Salah’s replacement at Anfield.
Liverpool could lose their top player, Salah, at the end of the season.
The Egyptian’s contract with the Reds will expire in June 2025 and he is yet to get a new deal.
However, Cundy believes Arne Slot’s side should go for Mbeumo if they decide to part ways with Salah.
“I think, when you look at what might happen at Liverpool with Salah, I’m looking at Mbeumo and what he’s capable of,” Cundy told talkSPORT via Caught Offside.
“He’s a little mini Salah off that right-hand side, [cutting in onto] his left foot. He has got years [left at the top level]. He has got years.”
Mbuemo has been impressive for Brentford since joining them from Troyes in 2019.
