Release from TEAMtalk, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Manchester United, paving the way for a high-profile summer move. According to Turkish media, the 26 year old has settled on a five-year contract worth £250,000-a-week, with the Premier League giants ready to trigger his €75 million release clause — approximately £51 million.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, Osimhen is expected to leave Serie A at the end of the 2024/25 season after falling out with Napoli’s board. Although Galatasaray are keen to retain him, they are unlikely to meet the hefty clause set for foreign clubs. Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler revealed that a basic agreement with Manchester United is already in place, while Aygün Özipek added that personal terms have been finalised.

 

 

Osimhen’s departure from Napoli has long been speculated, and this potential move to Old Trafford appears to be nearing completion. Manchester United have struggled to find a consistent goal-scorer in recent seasons, with injuries and underperformance affecting their frontline. Osimhen, with 29 goals and six assists in just 34 appearances for Galatasaray, could be the answer to their attacking woes.
