For the majority of the game, City dominated possession and set the tempo.Everton struggled to create any real chances and looked short of ideas going forward. The win keeps City right in the mix for Champions League qualification, while Everton stay dangerously close to the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, over at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth played out a dull 0-0 draw. Neither team really got going, and clear chances were few and far between. Bournemouth looked slightly more dangerous, but neither side could find the breakthrough.The draw means Palace are now unbeaten in their last five away games, giving them some breathing space above the drop zone. Bournemouth stay just outside the European qualification spots.
