Former Premier League player and manager, Tim Sherwood, has picked Arsenal as the only team capable of challenging Liverpool for the title.
The Blackburn Rovers legend told Generation xG, that Manchester City’s title defense is over.
The former Watford and Tottenham star believes that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners are the only team in the English top flight capable of finishing above the Reds.
“It’s done and dusted in terms of City. It’s difficult to write them off, but you can’t see them going 15 games without losing,” Sherwood said (via TBR Football).
“Anyone who finishes above Liverpool will win the Premier League, the only team who can possibly do that for me is Arsenal now Odegaard is back, they look like they’re on form,” he added.
Mikel Arteta has led Arsenal to a second place finish in the past two seasons. The Gunners finished slightly behind Manchester City.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal have what it takes to give the Reds a run for their money and up the ante this time around.
