EXCLUSIVE: I Said It 2023, I’ll Say It Again Tinubu’ll Be President Till 2031 Nothing Anyone Can Say To Me–Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that President Bola Tinubu will remain in power until 2031, as reported by DAILY POST. Wike made this statement during a media briefing in Abuja and recalled that Tinubu almost lost the 2023 presidential election. He said this was because of the naira redesign policy and fuel crisis during the campaign period.

According to Wike, these problems were created by the former All Progressives Congress (APC) administration. He believes they were designed to make Tinubu lose the election badly, despite this, Tinubu still managed to win. Wike said Tinubu’s victory showed he had strong support and added that only someone with good political skills and God’s help could have survived that tough election period. Wike also spoke about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and warned that he might not support the PDP in the upcoming FCT council elections.

He said the party must fix its internal problems first, otherwise, he would withhold his support. He expressed his disappointment in how the PDP is being managed and stated that the party is facing a crisis and will continue to suffer if the right actions are not taken.

He also stated that he has helped some PDP governors in the past but feels ignored. Wike repeated his belief that Tinubu should stay in power until 2031 and stated that only after that should the presidency return to the northern region of the country. He insisted that sharing power among regions is important for peace and unity. He believes one party or region should not control the presidency all the time. “If PDP does not put their house in order, I’m not going to support them in the area councils election. If PDP goes the way they are going, I will not support them.” “This crisis will consume this party until the right thing is being done. I have never recommended anybody to these governors but that does not mean that I don’t play any role.” “I have said it in 2023 and I’m saying it again that until 2031, when the position should go to the North, there is nothing anybody will say to me now,” he said.
