The Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Augustine Ukwuoma, along with priests from different denominations, led the Thanksgiving service at Government House Chapel in Owerri. Governor Uzodimma claimed that his marriage to Chioma had fulfilled his life and that this is why he should be grateful to God.
She could attest that, as a husband, he loved her as he was supposed to, and Uzodinmma claimed Chioma had put a lot of effort into fulfilling the biblical mandate that wives submit to their husbands.
The governor claims that Chioma has remained a rock of support and unwavering in her belief in their marriage despite all the difficulties from all sides, including political diversions that frequently tended to keep him away from his wife and the home front because of politics. For this reason, he must give thanks to God for her accommodation and tolerance.
Marriage, he said, is difficult. He thanked God for his goodness, mercy, direction, and guidance, all of which have helped him succeed. He said he was happy they could reaffirm their marriage in love and that they would do so within the next ten years.
Additionally, Uzodinmma expressed gratitude to his friends, family, and political allies for coming to their aid. The spouses of former Oyo State Governor Florence Ajimobi, Delta State Governor Ebonyi State Governor, and Delta State Governor were also present.
In addition to the Governors, the Federal House of Representatives members Akarachi Amadi, Emeka Chinedu, Cannice Moore Nwachukwu, Princess Miriam Onuoha, and Eugenia Dibiagwu were present, as were Senators Adams Oshiomole, Osita Izunaso, Patrick Ndubueze, and Ezenwa Onyewuchi.
