Rhoda was arrested and sent to court after the accused, feeling deceived, reported the incident to the Ayeso Police Station. Mr. Sola provided evidence throughout the trial, such as the WhatsApp chats and mobile money transfer that he and Rhoda exchanged.
Magistrate Akogun Oludare’s decision on Friday mandated that Rhoda return the N3,000, pay an extra N100,000 for the agreement’s breach, and pay a further N50,000 as special damages for emotional anguish.
