He will Allow One Bandit to Come and Rape His Mother and Wife When He’s a Police With AK-47, It’s not possible–According to Uba Sani

 

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has made forceful statements regarding Nigeria’s security issues. He outlined the necessity of state police for the nation in an interview with Trust TV. According to him, Nigeria does not currently have enough police officers to adequately safeguard everyone, particularly in areas of the North West where there are substantial areas of ungoverned territory.

According to Governor Sani, Nigeria used to have over 300,000 military personnel in the 1970s, but today the number is less. The police force is also fewer than 400,000 officers, which is not enough for a population of over 200 million people. He explained that many areas are not properly guarded, which allows criminals and bandits to operate freely. To help solve this, he said he had sponsored a bill in the Senate to create state police. He believes that just like in America, Nigeria should have both federal and state police.

Governor Sani compared the idea of using local vigilantes to fight bandits with using trained police officers who are allowed to carry weapons like AK-47s. He said that if someone is from a place like Birnin Gwari, they would not allow bandits to harm their loved ones if they had proper training and were armed as police officers.

“Nobody would sit down in Birni Gwari. He is born in Birni Gwari, he’s Mother and father are from Birni Gwari; he will allow one bandit to come and rape his mother, sister, and wife and carry some to the bush when he’s a police officer with AK 47. It’s not possible,” the governor said, showing how serious he believes the matter is.
