I Dated a Pastor But He Impregnated Me Before Marriage and Started Abusing Me -Ayanfe Adeyinka by Citynobs May 17, 2025, 10:53 pm Yoruba Nollywood actress Ayanfe Adeyinka has opened up about her troubled past and the challenges she faced in her personal and professional life, revealing a particularly painful episode involving a pastor who failed to honor his promise to marry her after getting her pregnant. Speaking during an interview on the Iriri Mi podcast hosted by Wasilacoded TV, Adeyinka recounted her experiences following the collapse of her first marriage. She explained how she struggled to raise her child alone, often working on multiple movie sets to make ends meet. In the course of rebuilding her life, she encountered several men who supported her in various ways, including a wealthy man and a well-known married movie marketer. Both men played significant roles in her early film productions, although the relationships came with emotional and moral complexities. After parting ways with the marketer—who denied paternity of a pregnancy that tragically ended in abortion—Adeyinka said she endured a long period of emotional and romantic instability. Her situation became so dire that her mother took her to a pastor for spiritual intervention. According to Adeyinka, the pastor prophesied that she would eventually marry a man of God. Remarkably, the prophecy appeared to come true when a pastor approached her on a movie set and expressed his desire to marry her. Initially skeptical, she eventually gave him a chance, recalling the earlier prophecy. However, what began as a hopeful turn in her love life soon unraveled. Adeyinka revealed that the pastor impregnated her before they officially got married. Once the pregnancy became noticeable, his attitude changed dramatically. The man she had believed was divinely ordained began to show signs of dishonesty and insincerity. Ultimately, he failed to fulfill his promise of marriage and started abusing her. She said: “After my relationship with the marketer ended abruptly, it took me a long time to find another man. Things got so bad that my mother started panicking. She even took me to a pastor for prayers. That pastor told me I wouldn’t just marry any man—that the person I would marry would be a man of God. And the prophecy came to pass in less than two months. I was on a movie set when a pastor approached me, said he liked me, and wanted to marry me. At first, I rejected him, but when I remembered the prophecy, I decided to give him a chance. However, he got me pregnant before we got married. After my pregnancy began to show, he started revealing his true colors. He abused me and beat me.”
