“I Was Angry” – Young Lady Who Poured Hot Water on Pregnant Sister-in-Law During Argument Confesses

 

 

According to DAILY POST,a 20-year-old woman, Jamila Ishiaku, has been arrested in Dubeli, Yola North Local Government Area for pouring hot water on her pregnant sister-in-law, causing serious burns all over her body. When questioned,she said she didn’t mean for things to go to such extent while attributing her action to anger during an argument. Jamila admitted that her actions were driven by strong emotions in the heat of the moment.

“I didn’t think it would go this far. I was just angry,” she said in an interview after her arrest. Sadly,the victim suffered severe burns, especially on her back, and is currently in the hospital receiving treatment while her condition has left her family deeply hurt and demanding justice. Nefisat Dahiru, the victim’s sister, said the family expects the police to take strong and fair action against Jamila, explaining that what happened was very serious and cannot be ignored.

The victim’s husband, Gambo Dahiru is also in pain over the incident saying that his wife has been in tears and emotionally broken. “My wife has been crying uncontrollably. I am seeking justice for her. The law should take its course,” Gambo said.

The Adamawa State Police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed that the suspect is in custody and said the police will ensure that she faces the full consequences of her actions.

The case has drawn strong reactions from the public, as many people were left dumbfounded that such an act could happen during a family dispute.

As the investigation continues, the family of the victim is hoping that justice will be served and that the suspect will be held responsible for her actions as soon as possible.
