Inibehe Effiong said as Peter Obi gave Quadri money, a chief told his mom to buy cow and rice to appease youths

 

Inibehe Effiong, a lawyer, has stated that after Peter Obi gave money to Alabi Quadri (a boy who went viral for standing in front of Obi’s convoy during the 2023 election period) some people in Quadri’s area began troubling him and his mother.

In a video shared by Channels TV, Effiong mentioned that some youths in the Quadri’s communities kept asking his mother to give them part of the money. He said at one point, a chief in the community told Quadri’s mother to use the money to buy a cow, cook rice, and prepare a feast for the community as a way of appeasing the youths.

In Effiong’s words: “The started harassing them to give them money, to part with some of the money. A chief in that community specifically told the mother to buy a cow, slaughter it with rice and cook for the community to appease the youths. She refused to do it and the threat and harassment persisted quite unbelievably since 2023″
