JUST IN: Super Eagles striker becomes first African to score hat-trick in a UEFA final match

Ademola Lookman has etched his name in history as the first African player ever to score a hat trick in the final of a major UEFA competition.

Loookman, a former England youth international, has scored three goals in the ongoing UEFA Europa League final between his club, Atalanta of Italy and Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen.

The electrifying performance of Lookman is set to secure a memorable victory for the Italian club.

Lookman was also the star man of the Super Eagles in the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast this year, scoring three goals in the competition.

His achievements are likely to make a front-runner in the African Footballer of the Year prize.

Two other Nigerian strikers, Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella are also on the Bayer Leverkusen team.
