Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the immediate past Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole, who died on Wednesday at the age of 58, barely a year after retiring from the state’s civil service.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor described Oluwole as an impeccable technocrat and a highly respected authority in public service.
He praised her contributions to the state’s civil administration, highlighting her hard work, brilliance, and institutional memory as qualities that set her apart.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Oluwole. She was a credible and dependable authority in matters of public service, attaining great heights through sheer determination and excellence,” AbdulRazaq stated.
The governor extended his condolences to her family, including her husband and aged father, as well as the entire civil service structure in Kwara. He prayed for the repose of her soul and strength for her loved ones to bear the loss.
Similarly, the Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries of Nigeria (ARSPSON), Kwara State chapter, mourned Oluwole’s passing.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Ayo Fagbemi, and Public Relations Officer, Alh. Abubakar Mohammed, the association described her as a vibrant and resourceful administrator whose legacy would endure.
“She was an administrator per excellence, who left positive footprints on the sands of time,” the statement read, as the association also extended its condolences to Governor AbdulRazaq and Oluwole’s bereaved family.
