Omotoyosi Jaiyesimi has spoken out against her senior colleague, Lizzy Anjorin. The tension follows comments made by Lizzy Anjorin in a video where she appeared to downplay the wedding of Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, by claiming that her own wedding was much grander.

 

Omotoyosi Jaiyesimi, who is known for staying away from online controversies, finally broke her silence through a post shared on her official Instagram page. In the post, she addressed Lizzy Anjorin’s statement and expressed her disapproval of the comparison being made between a mature woman’s wedding and that of a much younger lady.

According to Omotoyosi, the comparison made by Lizzy Anjorin is not only unnecessary but also disrespectful, considering the age difference between the two women. She highlighted that it was inappropriate to measure the significance of a young lady’s wedding against that of someone who could be her mother. This, she suggested, sets a bad precedent and encourages unwarranted competition among celebrities.

The actress emphasized that she usually avoids meddling in issues that do not involve her directly, but felt compelled to speak out due to the excessive nature of Lizzy Anjorin’s remarks. She implied that senior figures in the industry should be setting examples rather than stirring controversy through personal ego battles.

She said, “I don’t put mouth in what doesn’t concern me but this is getting annoying. Lizzy Anjorin, you are doing too much. Imagine comparing your wedding to a child you can birth?”.
