Speaking during an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo on his YouTube show With Chude, Bunmi shared the pressures she faced as a young girl with a larger body frame. In the interview, Bunmi recalled feeling different from her peers, saying, “When I looked at myself in the mirror, my body structure didn’t look like the other girls of my age, and I had stretch marks on my skin.”

She described how these early observations led to a sense of self-consciousness that was further complicated by inappropriate stares from men. “My backside was bigger than the average, and men were always staring at me inappropriately,” she said. “I had a big stomach, and some men used to think that I was older than I was at the time.”

Bunmi explained that her family played a role in their collective transformation. With only one sibling being naturally slim, she said three of them committed to a dietary change. “We changed our entire grocery list every week, and all of us lost some weight,” she noted.

Her story highlights the complex experience many young women face regarding body image, especially in a society that often equates physical appearance with worth. Through her transparency and journey, Bunmi has become an inspiration, encouraging others to embrace healthier lifestyles while promoting body positivity and self-acceptance.
