NPFL: Akwa United chief Bassey reveals plans for January transfer window

Akwa United chairman, Elder Paul Bassey says the team will be bolstered with new signings during the mid-season transfer.

The Promise Keepers have endured a poor start to the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

Akwa United have recorded four wins, four draws and eight defeats in 16 NPFL games.

The former NPFL champions occupy 19th position in the NPFL table.

DAILY POST recalls that Mohammed Babaganaru parted ways with Akwa United following their poor run of form in the league.

“We are not happy with the performance of our players and we have started planning to strengthen the team when the mid-season transfer window opens in January,” Bassey told Akwa United’s media.
