NPFL: Why Remo Stars lost to Niger Tornadoes – Ogunmodede

Remo Stars’ technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has blamed a loss of concentration for his team’s defeat to Niger Tornadoes.

The Sky Blue Stars fell to a 2-1 defeat against Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna, on Sunday.

Niger Tornadoes scored twice in the first half through Joseph Godstime and Papa Daniel.

The visitors got their goal through Michael Ibe late in the game.

“It was a game we could have won, but we lost concentration and they got two quick goals,” Ogunmodede said in a post-match interview.

“We had a lot of opportunities to be on top of the game, we were all around them considering how much we needed the game, but unfortunately for us, they defended well.

“It’s a victory that is good for them and a loss that is not good for us; nevertheless, we’ll take the positives and move to the next game.”

Remo Stars dropped to second position on the NPFL table following the defeat.
