Nyesom Wike Responds After Femi Falana Said He Has Never Entered A Court To Present Or Win A Case

The former governor of Rivers state and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has replied human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana after he said he has never entered a court to present or handle a case. Wike’s reaction was made available on the official X account of his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the post that Lere Olayinka shared on his page, he said it’s wrong for the lawyer to have made such statement. Lere Olayinka challenged the Senior Advocate of Nigeria to list all the major cases he has won since he became a legal practitioner. He described Femi Falana as an “errand lawyer”.

 

 

According to Lere Olayinka on his official X handle;

“It is funny and ridiculous that in the mind of Falana, only those who have handled cases in trial court or appellate court are lawyers and that a lawyer must have handled cases in trial or appellate court to be qualified for appointment as a Life Bencher”.
