Prof. Okey Okechukwu, Executive Director of Development Specs Academy, commended President Bola Tinubu’s political savvy in a recent interview with Arise News, calling him a strategist who has continuously overcome the difficulties.
Reflecting on Tinubu’s rise to power, Prof. Okechukwu pointed to the president’s ability to secure the APC presidential ticket and ultimately win the 2023 election despite widespread scepticism, internal opposition, and external pressures. He emphasised that Tinubu remains aware of the strengths and weaknesses of both his allies and adversaries, suggesting the president is not one to be easily outmanoeuvred.
Speaking further about President Tinubu, he added that “even the currency remodelling was presumed to be targeted at him. In spite of all these, the man won the election, and you believe that as president he will sit around drinking tea or eating kulikuli while you’re trying to take him out after about three years in office.”
