Ondo guber: Aiyedatiwa hails court verdict

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has described as a welcome development the dismissal of a case challenging his qualification for the just concluded governorship election in the state

This was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Monday in Akure, the state capital.

DAILY POST reports that the Federal High Court sitting in Akure, on Monday dismissed the suit challenging the qualifications of Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, both candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the election, Agboola Ajayi, filed the suit.

Aiyedatiwa lauded the court for the timely dismissal of the case which he described as a needless distraction.
