Enenche highlighted that Christ is the “light of development” and that Christianity has played a pivotal role in shaping the world as we know it. He noted that the spiritual revivals during the era of John Wesley were key turning points in Europe’s industrial revolution.
Similarly, the mechanical revolution in Germany, initiated by the invention of the Wittenberg press, was deeply influenced by Christian thought, especially the ideas of Martin Luther.
Enenche also pointed out that Christianity has left an indelible mark on various fields, from law to technology. He noted that the Law of Moses laid the foundation for both common law and international law.
The works of renowned inventors, such as Isaac Newton and Michael Faraday, were inspired by their Christian faith, underscoring the faith’s significant influence on intellectual and scientific advancements.
One of the most striking parts of Enenche’s message was his assertion that without Christianity, there would be no prestigious institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, or Harvard.
These world-renowned universities were founded on Christian principles and values, reflecting Christianity’s central role in fostering education and intellectual growth.
Enenche further encouraged the congregation, proclaiming that the same “light” that fueled historical development is available to every individual.
