Speaking at his church’s headquarters in Lagos, Ayodele expressed his disapproval of how voters accept money in exchange for their votes, warning that this practice harms the future of the country.
Ayodele explained that when voters accept small sums of money to support candidates, they are not only selling their votes but also jeopardizing their own future.
He stated that such actions contribute to the persistence of poor leadership in Nigeria, which continues to negatively impact the nation’s progress.
In his view, the act of selling votes for immediate gains only leads to long-term suffering and misfortune for the entire country.
The cleric directed much of his criticism toward President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of causing hardship for Nigerians.
He described the Tinubu administration as a disaster, pointing to the widespread sorrow, sickness, and sadness that he believes have accompanied this leadership.
Ayodele dismissed claims of economic progress under the current administration, calling reports of financial achievements unfounded and misleading.
He argued that the government has failed to improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians and has misled the public by touting non-existent successes.
Further, Ayodele warned Nigerians not to support the APC in future elections, stressing that voting for President Tinubu would only perpetuate further suffering.
According to him, the administration seems more concerned with budgets and proposals than actually addressing the nation’s real problems.
He expressed his frustration with the state of governance, accusing the government of prioritizing its own interests over the needs of the people.
In his speech, Ayodele also directed strong criticism at the voters who, in his view, fall victim to empty promises and bribes.
He urged them to demand real accountability from their leaders instead of being swayed by short-term rewards.
He suggested that many Nigerians are making a mistake by accepting small amounts of money, such as N10,000, in exchange for their votes, as it ultimately undermines their future and well-being.
According to Ayodele, these actions show a lack of wisdom, as they are short-sighted and harmful.
Ayodele went further to express his personal disappointment with the political system.
He stated that he no longer believes in voting, citing the lack of meaningful change under the current government.
He believes that the primary function of any government should be to care for the people, particularly those in need, but he sees no evidence of such care from the current leadership.
He lamented that leaders in power are more focused on their personal gain rather than addressing the pressing issues facing the country.
The Primate criticized the voters who, in his view, are willing to sell their votes for personal gain, contributing to a cycle of corruption and poor governance.
Ayodele passionately urged Nigerians to reject the current system and work towards a more responsible, accountable leadership in the future.
He shared a personal example to underline his point, explaining that if he had the resources, he would not hesitate to help those in need.
He described how he sold a bag of rice, originally priced at N120,000, for just N15,000 to assist others, stressing that he does not take constituency or security votes.
This action, according to him, reflects his commitment to helping people, as opposed to exploiting them for political gain.
“They have done nothing; the primary function of government is to take care of the people who are in need.
And again all of them here are stupid, when N10,000 is giving to them now they demonize their future.”
“I don’t vote and I will never vote because there is nothing to vote for, this government all we need to do is to vote them out.
“Their vote is nonsense honestly, it pains me, if you have money now, who are the people to help? You will simply sell all your resources to feed these people. Who will come out to vote for them in 2027.”
“If Tinubu is in my capacity he won’t do what I have done but if I have sources to get money I will do this six times in a year, I am one, somebody can’t do it, a bag of rice of 120,000 I sold at 15,000, am not collecting constituency or security vote?” he said.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
