He accused opposition parties of prioritizing personal ambitions over collective goals, which he believes is a huge obstacle to their success.
According to him, their inability to adopt a unified approach will hinder them from making substantial progress in elections and stated that forming a united coalition is the only way for them to effectively challenge the ruling party.
The religious leader pointed out that Nigeria’s current political situation requires unity and cooperation among political parties and warned that without these elements, the opposition will continue to face internal divisions and remain weak.
He called on opposition leaders to take immediate and strategic action to establish a solid coalition if they hope to compete successfully in the 2027 presidential elections.
Primate Ayodele also stressed the importance of strategic planning and advised the opposition to address issues that directly affect citizens.
He suggested that presenting clear and practical policies is crucial for gaining voter support.
Campaigns lacking meaningful content and focus, he argued, will fail to connect with the electorate.
He concluded his statements by criticizing the opposition parties as disorganized and driven by self-interest and maintained that unless they become more unified and focused on collective objectives, their aspirations for electoral success in 2027 will remain unrealistic.
