
According to Dailypost, former Senate President David Mark has expressed deep concern over the latest wave of violence in Benue State, where armed assailants reportedly launched deadly attacks in Otukpo and Ado local government areas, claiming the lives of at least 15 individuals on Tuesday night.
In a statement released in Abuja through his media adviser, Paul Mumeh, Mark pointed to the tragic incidents in Otobi-Akpa, Emichi, and Utonkon as intolerable, calling for swift intervention from security forces to restore stability and bring the attackers to justice.
He called on residents to support ongoing efforts by security agencies aimed at restoring calm to the region, and extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic events, offering prayers for the repose of the victims.
