Shehu Sani Responds After Sole Administrator Told NBA To Return N300 Million Or Face Legal Action

Following the Rivers state government’s threat of legal action against the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) over N300 million that the association received, Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly and one of the leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC), responded. Punch claims that after the NBA moved the 2025 Annual Conference from Rivers State to Enugu State, the Rivers State administration wanted the money.

Here is what the Sole Administrator said;

“Failure of the NBA to immediately refund the N300 million to the Rivers State Government will compel the implementation of all legal means to recover the property of the good people of Rivers State”.However, Shehu Sani has now reacted after the report surfaced online. In a post that he shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, he advised NBA to return the money. The former Kaduna lawmaker stated that the amount is not worth the insult.

Here is what Shehu Sani wrote on his page;

“To shut down the controversy and protect and preserve the reputation of the association, I suggest that the NBA should just refund the Rivers contributions even if they used some of it”.
