Super Eagles coach Finidi George names Amokachi, Baruwa, two foreigners as assistants

Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, has announced the appointment of his assistants, including former teammate Daniel Amokachi, at his unveiling ceremony organized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) earlier today.

In addition to Daniel Amokachi, Finidi George has appointed two foreign assistants whose names will be disclosed before the Super Eagles’ upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Squirrels of Benin.

George retained Olatunji Baruwa, the goalkeeper’s trainer under the previous head coach, Jose Peseiro.

In preparation for his new role, Finidi George officially resigned from his position as head coach of Enyimba on Sunday, May 12.
