The Mischievous Media Analyst Claimed I Said If You Come to APC, Your Sins Are Forgiven – Oshiomhole Revealed

Former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has responded to a media analyst he described as “mischievous” for misrepresenting a statement he made during his tie in office. Speaking at a recent event, Oshiomhole recalled how he once welcomed a respected leader from the PDP into the APC and made a culturally rooted remark about his name. He said:

“Now one Honorable—he wasn’t a commissioner, he wasn’t in government, he wasn’t a government contractor—but he was a respected and responsible leader of the party, PDP. He left PDP to come and join APC when I was chairman and I interpreted his name into our vernacular. Now you have come to APC. You have been with PDP that specialize in obe… obe means evil. Now that you have left the party that specializes in obe, you are now going to live up to your father’s name.”

However, he alleged that a media analyst deliberately twisted his words to push a false narrative. In his words: “This mischievous media analyst, looking for how they will pull me down, they went to say that I said regardless of your sins, if you come to APC, your sins are forgiven. He questioned the logic of the claim, asking if he had any agreement with authorities to forgive or release individuals facing legal issues:

“I wanted to ask one of them who was once arrested under Jonathan and Jonathan’s wife… Was his sins forgiven? Did he have agreement with me that he should be released?”

Oshiomhole maintained that his comment was simply a metaphor tied to the individual’s name and a call for character reform, not a blanket pardon for wrongdoing.
