Tinubu will win 2027 presidential election – Goodluck Jonathan
Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, says no coalition formed to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 will succeed, if he decides to seek another term.
The former President, who was in Seoul, South Korea, receiving the 2025 Sunhak Peace Prize, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday that Tinubu would not face any serious challenge getting re-elected.He was reacting to the recent announcement of an opposition coalition to challenge the All Progressives Congress in the next presidential election.

Nigeria extends contactles as biometric passport to US, Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil
The Federal Government has launched the second phase of its contactless biometric passport application system in Nigerian missions located in the United States, Mexico, Jamaica, and Brazil. According to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the initiative allows Nigerians in the diaspora to renew their passports without visiting passport centres for biometric enrollment, using the NIS Mobile app available on Google Play Store, with an iOS version expected soon.
The system is already operational in Canada, Europe, Asia, and now the newly added countries, though it is yet to be introduced in Australia and Nigeria. The NIS stated that rollout dates for these two locations will be announced later, affirming its commitment to providing efficient and innovative passport services for Nigerians worldwide.
Kaduna ‘ll Soon Be A One-Party State, Says Gov Sani
Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will continue to dominate the State, saying very soon it will become a one-party state.The governor disclosed that about four members of the House of Representatives from the opposition parties in the State defected to APC, adding that members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly from different parties have also defected to the ruling party.
Governor ba Sani, who spoke in Zaria on Monday, argued that the defection of members of the opposition to APC “is a good sign and that shows that we are doing something that is positive, we are carrying everyone along on in Kaduna state.’’Meanwhile, House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, has distributed 117 vehicles, comprising 20 Hilux vans; two ambulances; 20 18-seater buses; 50 Sharon model vehicles, and 25 Sedan/saloon cars (Golf, Corolla & Peugeot 406), 200 tricycles, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, and 1,000 motorcycles, to his constituents
