Truck accident claims two lives, kills several cattle in Bauchi

An accident has claimed two lives after a truck transporting cattle to the Gadar-Maiwa Market in Bauchi State somersaulted into a stream.

According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred when the truck hit a pothole, causing a tyre to burst which led to the vehicle somersaulting.

The incident, which occurred on Monday, also resulted in the death of several cattle, with others sustaining severe injuries.

The poor condition of the truck and its speed at the time of the accident were believed to have contributed to the severe crash.

Efforts to reach the Federal Road Safety Corps , FRSC, for comments were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
