Former international John Utaka has backed Jerome Adams to become a regular player in the Super Eagles in future.
Adams has been pushing for a place in the Super Eagles since linking up with Ligue 1 club, Montpellier last summer.
The presence of the likes of Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Boniface, Terem Moffi and Paul Onuachu means he has to wait patiently before gaining international reignition.
Utaka, however, believes the former Flying Eagles striker will make the most of his Super Eagles chance when he gets it.
“Adams is a potential Super Eagles striker,” Utaka told Brila FM.
“He’s a hard worker, has a good size for a striker and a great mindset.
“I believe he will take his chance in the national team when he is handed one.”
