WTO: Moghalu celebrates Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on reappointment as DG

Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Kingsley Moghalu has reacted to the reappointment of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the Director General of the World Trade Organization, WTO.

Moghalu described the reappointment of Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala as the WTO DG as well deserved.

Posting on X, Moghalu wrote: “Warmest congratulations to @NOIweala on her reappointment to a second term as Director-General @wto. Well deserved!”

DAILY POST had reported the reappointment of Okonjo-Iweala WTO as DG for a second term.

Commenting, the former Nigerian Minister of Finance said she was deeply honoured by the trust and support of the WTO General Council and its 166 Members.

This was contained in her statement addressed to the WTO General Council on Friday, following her reappointment.

She also pledged her commitment to work alongside the talented and dedicated staff of the WTO to build a more inclusive, equitable, and rules-based multilateral trading system.
