A Yobe-based non-profit making organisation, Amputee Foundation has appealed for support to three children injured by bomb blast in the state.

The President and Founder of the foundation, Mr Tizhe Kwaji, made the appeal at an outreach for vulnerable persons in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

“The ages of the blast survivors range from 8, 10 and 1. It is a painful reminder of the devastating impact of such events on young lives”, Kwaji said.

He expressed concern over the impact of the incident on the lives of the children, emphasising the need to educate and rehabilitate them.

“Education is not just a privilege; it is their key to a brighter future. But we cannot do it alone. We need your support.”

He highlighted the foundation’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities through skills initiative projects, providing food, cash support, and care.

Kwaji appealed to Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe and Abba Mohammed, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on People Living with Disability (PLWD) to support children with disability.

He also urged the public to contribute to the cause, emphasising the importance of philanthropy.
