The widow of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, the former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has turned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to criticize Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the current governor of Ondo State, for a supposedly Aketi Lecture given by the Ondo State government.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to a post on the official X handle of Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the widow of the former Ondo Governor told Governor Aiyedatiwa that he cannot weep more than the bereaved. She said that she and her family were never informed about the Aketi Lecture; hence, it is not in honor of her late husband. Earlier today, the former Ondo first lady had posted on her X handle that her husband’s first memorial is not for a publicity stunt. Some hours later, she shared that she was not informed about any memorial lecture in honor of her late husband.

Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu had written, “This is not for Aketi because I and my family are not aware. As the saying goes: You and your co-travelers cannot shave Aketi’s head in his absence.
