Citing the incapacity of “those who currently control and run the APC to acknowledge, much less address, the unhealthy situation of the party,” El-Rufai declared in a statement on Monday that he was leaving the APC for the SDP. In response to the news, Igbokwe wrote on his official Facebook page that anyone considering running for president in 2027 under the SDP should realize that Tinubu is the party’s owner.
“If SDP is still operating in Nigeria, then you should be aware of the fact and at peace with yourself: PBAT is the owner.” Don’t pay attention to him. “I remember the late Chief MKO Abiola and our SDP of 1993,” he wrote.
