Akpabio: The Nigerian Senate suspended Sen. Natasha, with three major repercussions

On Thursday, the Nigerian Senate suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central. The Senate Committee’s recommendations led to her suspension. Sen. Natasha’s suspension has three main effects: Natasha will be suspended for a period of six months. She will not be being paid during this time. For the duration of her suspension, the senator will not be permitted on National Assembly property. Her security information will be deleted. Remember how the confrontation escalated when Natasha accused Akpabio of being victimized for turning down his purported advances?

On Wednesday, though, Akpabio called the accusation untrue and unfounded. Natasha was invited earlier by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Rules, and Code of Conduct, but she did not show up on Monday.
