Raye, as she is popularly known, had earlier shared a video online criticizing the economic hardships under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, lamenting the rising cost of living. Shortly after, she released another video alleging that NYSC officials had threatened her and pressured her to take down her post. Her claims sparked outrage among Nigerians, with many condemning any attempt to silence her.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Sowore shared videos and photos documenting their visit to the NYSC office. He stated that he, along with a legal team including Festus Ogun, Yinka Oyesomi, and Justice Ojienoh, accompanied Raye for her scheduled appearance before the LGI. However, upon arrival at the Eti-Osa NYSC office, they discovered that the officials who were supposed to interrogate her were absent and failed to show up throughout their stay.
