According to CITYNOBS, the former minister slammed the former governor of Rivers state for equating the construction of roads to development. Solomon Dalung stated that road construction cannot be emphasized as development because many Nigerians do not have vehicles.
Reacting, Lere Olayinka, the Special Assistant on Public Communications to Nyesom Wike stated that Solomon Dalung’s tenure as the Minister of Sports was disastrous.
He said under Dalung, Nigeria failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations.
